Annual Congress of The Lebanese Society of Endocrinology Diabetes and Lipids

The 18th Annual Congress of The Lebanese Society of Endocrinology Diabetes and Lipids (LSEDL) was held between 12th and 14th of June, 2015 in Phoenicia Hotel, Beirut. As part of Julphar’s continuous role to be a partner in Diabetes care through public awareness activities and scientific activities, Julphar Diabetes Lebanon office was present as one of many exhibitors in different dedicated zones.

The congress was chaired by Dr. Monzer Saleh, the president of the LSEDL, whereas the scientific program tackled the best and most updated information on topics of interest and of common use to endocrinologist and to related fields. The areas which were covered in 15 talks and 13 satellite symposia were in lipidology, thyroidology, pituitary, adrenal, metabolic bone disease, hypogonadism, adolescent endocrinology, neuroendocrine neoplasia and of course, diabetes mellitus including the latest molecule in the diabetes management.

Over 150 endocrinologists from Lebanon and surrounding countries attended the event. The event also attracted many of the Key Opinion Leaders from Egypt, KSA & Iraq and other countries within the region.

The busy team met with many potential customers at Julphar’s booth and involved them in a customized Sudoku game that was focusing on the four main aspects of managing diabetes (Healthy Diet, Proper Exercise, right medication and frequent monitoring of blood glucose), doctors and visitors enjoyed interacting with the game while listening to Julphar Diabetes Portfolio.
