2016-03-13

Julphar Adult Primary Care and Pediatric Primary Care lines jointly participated in this year’s Gulf Thoracic Congress, which took place at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Dubai from March 9th to 12th, 2016.

The 7th edition of the Gulf Thoracic Congress is a joint meeting of the Saudi Thoracic Society (STS) and the Emirates Allergy and Respiratory Society (EARS), in collaboration with the American Thoracic Society (ATS) and European Respiratory Society (ERS), and was attended by more than 60 scientists and hundreds of doctors specialised in chest diseases from the GCC and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The event is targeting regional healthcare professionals (HCP) and helps them share their experiences and best practice methods in the field of thoracic medicine.

“Our participation in the Congress was the opportunity to reinforce Julphar’s position as a leading pharmaceutical company in MENA region”, said Dr Hosam Badr, Marketing Director at Julphar. “The event was sponsored by firms specialized in the respiratory field – such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and other respiratory infections; a field that is taken very seriously by Julphar who recently launched two new products in asthma and allergy care: Xaira and Rinelon, to complement its wide portfolio of established products like Azomycin.”

Julphar was a Bronze sponsor of the 7th Gulf Thoracic Congress as per its commitment to continuously support HCP’s continuing education (CME) programs.
