Smart acid suppressor vial launched in KSA

2016-05-08

As part of its commitment to provide valuable therapeutic options in protection and treatment of various acid related disorders, Julphar has launched Pantonix in Saudi Arabia – the smart acid suppressor for the treatment and protection of patients suffering from hyperacidity. Pantonix offers two convenient methods of administration – infusion and injection – and presents the lowest potential of drug interactions.

The Pantonix launch event took place on April 11th, 12th and 13th. On that occasion, Julphar invited the former Chairman of the United European Gastroenterology Federation (UEGF) and the former Dean of the Medical Faculty of the University of Basel, Professor of Gastroenterology Dr Christoph Beglinger to conduct three lectures in Saudi Arabia’s main regions: Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam.

The Jeddah meeting was chaired by Assistant Professor of Gastroenterology Dr Hazeez Al Biladi, and was coordinated by the Head of the Gastroenterology Department of the Jeddah Saudi German Hospital, Assistant Professor of Gastroenterology Dr Ahmad Hashem, with an attendance exceeding 130 physicians. The Riyadh meeting was attended by over 120 physicians and was chaired by Assistant Professor of Gastroenterology Dr Fahd Alsohibani. The last meeting was conducted in Dammam, with an attendance of 60 physicians and was chaired by Professor of Gastroenterology Dr Abdulaziz AlQurain.

During the Pantonix launch Conference, Prof. Dr Christoph Beglinger presented the newest updates on the use of intravenous (IV) Pantoprazole in the prophylaxis and the treatment of bleeding peptic ulcers. Chairpersons of the three meetings discussed of the importance of proper management of acid related disorders with high morbidities and mortality rates.

Being a market leader in acid control, Julphar strives to present medical updates to gastroenterologists at regular basis in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region, and to enrich the Gastro Care portfolio with various therapeutic options to meet the needs of patients and Healthcare Professionals (HCP’s).
